1. Acceptance of these terms

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Sunset Mauritius website and your booking and stay at our properties — Sunset Villa, Blue Lagoon Villa, and Blue Pearl Villa in La Gaulette, Mauritius. By using our website, submitting a booking enquiry, or staying with us, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use our website or services.

2. Our services

Sunset Mauritius is a family-run collection of holiday villas and apartments in La Gaulette, Mauritius. Our website lets you learn about our properties and send us a booking enquiry. It is not an online booking engine: no reservation is made, and no payment is taken, directly on this website.

3. Bookings and confirmation

Submitting the booking form sends us a request and does not guarantee a reservation. Your booking is only confirmed once we confirm it to you in writing (by email). Availability and rates shown on the website are indicative and are confirmed as part of that written confirmation. Please review your confirmation carefully and let us know promptly if anything is incorrect.

4. Prices and payment

Prices are quoted in the currency stated at the time of confirmation. Payment terms — such as any deposit and the balance due — are agreed with you during the booking process, and payment may be made by card or bank transfer as we arrange with you. No payment card details are entered on, or stored by, this website.

5. Cancellation and changes

Cancellations and changes are handled in line with the policy confirmed to you at the time of booking and stated in your written confirmation. If you need to change or cancel your dates, please contact us as early as possible and we will do our best to help.

6. Check-in, check-out, and occupancy

Check-in is generally from 1:00 PM and check-out by 11:00 AM, unless otherwise agreed in writing. Please let us know your expected arrival time in advance, especially for late arrivals. The number of guests staying must not exceed the maximum occupancy of the apartment you have booked, and any visitors are your responsibility.

7. House rules

During your stay, please:

• —Treat the property, its contents, and our neighbours with care and respect;
• —Respect quiet hours and keep noise to a reasonable level, especially in the evenings;
• —Leave the property in the condition in which you found it, aside from normal cleaning.

Pets are not permitted at any of our properties. Smoking is not permitted indoors. You are responsible for any loss or damage caused to the property or its contents during your stay, and we may charge a reasonable amount for repairs or replacement.

8. Use of the website

You agree to use the website lawfully and not to misuse it, for example by submitting false or misleading information, attempting to disrupt or interfere with the website, or using it to transmit harmful content. We may refuse or limit access where we reasonably believe the website is being misused.

9. Third-party content and links

Our website may include content or links provided by third parties, such as maps, guest reviews, and social media links. We are not responsible for the content, accuracy, or privacy practices of third-party websites or services. Accessing them is at your own risk and subject to their own terms.

10. Accuracy of information

We work hard to keep the information on our website accurate and up to date, but property details, photographs, amenities, and rates may change. Information is provided for general guidance and does not form part of your booking unless confirmed in writing.

11. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Sunset Mauritius is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential loss arising from your use of the website, or for events beyond our reasonable control during your stay. Nothing in these Terms limits any liability that cannot be limited or excluded under applicable law.

12. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Mauritius, and any dispute relating to them is subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of Mauritius.

13. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The current version will always be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. Your continued use of the website after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
