Le Morne Brabant Hike

Climb the UNESCO-listed peak behind La Gaulette for sweeping 360° views over the lagoon, Île aux Bénitiers and the open ocean. The trail starts as a gentle forest walk before a steeper, rocky scramble to the summit cross. Set off at first light to beat the heat and the crowds, and take a licensed guide for the final exposed section — the view from the top is worth every step.

Boat across the lagoon to a palm-fringed sandbar and snorkel the famous Crystal Rock, a coral outcrop teeming with reef fish. Most trips moor for a beach lunch and leave plenty of time to swim and wade in the shallow turquoise water, with dolphins often spotted along the way.

Chamarel Waterfall & Seven Coloured Earth
